Many locals will tell you that Worcester is an under-rated "foodie" city with a great variety of cuisines. Once you try some of these local eateries, we think you'll agree! The best thing is they're all just a short walk from the Canal Lofts.

The Dive Bar

The name is quite accurate, this place is a dive, but it's worth a visit, especially if you're a craft beer fan! They serve some of the most sought-after beers in New England and in the summer, the patio beer garden is a great spot to kick back and unwind.

Lock 50

Right next door to the Canal Lofts is an excellent new restaurant and cafe featuring "new american" cuisine with small bites, large shareable plates, hand-crafted cocktails and a food-friendly wine list! They also have a great patio area to enjoy the warm weather.

Birch Tree Bread Company

A charming bakery and cafe that makes a serious cup of coffee and some incredible baked treats. But this isn't just a take-out spot, they serve hot sandwiches and even have pizza nights twice a week. Couple all this with some great live music and you might never want to leave.

Smokestack Urban BBQ

Just across the street from Birch Tree is this classic South Carolina-style BBQ joint. Delicious BBQ is a rarity in New England, so to have a top-notch spot in walking distance is a dream come true!
